Luxury Adventure for the over 40's
You don’t really have to be 40+ but chances are, if you passed your driving test before 1997 you already have the required C1 driving license to drive Fabulous Flora our Premium Line, 8.58m, double-axle motorhome. Despite her size she is a dream to drive. Unfortunately, without the C1 license you will not be able to hire her; but if you do have it … read on!
Let us introduce you to our much-loved Hymer, Flora-the-Explora. Starting with the outside, there is a 5.5-metre wind-out awning with LED lighting and at the back, a large full-width garage, great for storing anything you could possibly need for your trip. Stored in the garage for you, we have the same table and 6 fold-away chairs, along with solar-powered ground lights, that you can see in one of the external pictures which also showcases the awning
Coming inside via the side door which has a retractable electric entrance step, you’ll see that Flora is beautifully bright and airy throughout, with white marble effect and wood features. You step first into the L-shaped lounge with seating for 6 around the extendable dining table (with the swivel cabin seats and two additional travel seats, Flora has a total of 4 travelling seats). One of two 22" LED TVs is in this area too (with inbuilt CD/DVD player)
In the front cabin area (for the driver and front passenger) there’s a CD player, double glazed windows, an Alde central heating system, climate-controlled air-conditioning, inbuilt satellite navigation, reversing cameras, cruise control and driver and passenger airbags. There’s an electric window and automatic electric step on the passenger side door. Flora boasts an automatic hydraulic leveling system so no messing about with ramps on site
Flora offers a flexible sleeping layout that can suit couples or small families alike. There is a double-bed which drops down over the cabin seats. This includes a privacy curtain and safety bar/netting to help avoid any accidental falling out of bed. At the back in the “master bedroom” you can either have two single beds, or can convert the area to an oversize double with the addition of a middle section. There’s a pull-out ladder for easy getting and in and out of bed and a sliding door that closes the bedroom off for privacy. The second 22" LED TV is in this rear “bedroom”. NOTE: we have bedding for the master bedroom to be made up as a massive king. You will need to bring your own bedding if you choose to have that section made up as two singles
The white marble effect kitchen is fully-equipped with gas hob, grill and oven, sink and drainer, soft-close drawers and a micro-wave oven. We have a large fridge-freezer with AES (auto-energy selector) so it switches automatically from gas to mains when you connect to an external power source. There is a large pull-out pantry for food. All crockery, cutlery, pots and pans, various serving dishes etc are included (inventory available at handover or on request beforehand)
Between the kitchen and the master bedroom there is a wash area that can be completely separated from the rest of the motorhome, creating a sort of en suite effect. In this area there is a wash basin and vanity unit, a spacious shower and an electric flush cassette toilet
IMPORTANT INSURANCE INFORMATION (NOTE: insurance is a separate, additional daily cost)
You will need to take out temporary motorhome insurance with our insurer. For an approximate daily cost of £24, they will provide you with a fully comprehensive policy (including breakdown cover) that is valid for the duration of your hire period. You are eligible for this short-term cover from Comfort because we hold an existing annual policy with them. Once you have confirmed your booking, we will provide our registration details and insurance policy number so you can call them with your Driving License and other details to arrange this short-term insurance. You will need to take this insurance out at least 48 hours prior to picking up Flora and will need to bring with you to the pick-up proof of the insurance as well as your driving licenses.
You can read more about this before committing to your booking by accessing the webpages for Comfort Insurance. From their home page, navigate to "Temporary Motorhome Insurance" and from there to "Temporary motorhome insurance: A hirer’s guide".
We have done our best to condense much of the above-information into the bulleted list of below and the photos further illustrate many of the features we have described. When you book, we hope to have a handover video prepared that will help familiarize you with how everything works, plus a face-to-face handover before your departure, you'll be fine!
