How can I hire out my motorhome to friends and family for a lower price?
Start by listing your motorhome on our platform. Once your listing is published, you can easily share it by copying the URL link, or by clicking the social media buttons at the bottom right of the page.
Next, ask your friend or family member to select the dates they’d like to hire your motorhome for and to submit a booking request.
Once you have received their booking request, you can select ‘edit rates’ to update the hire fee for their booking to an amount set by yourself.
Examples of the offers you could make are:
-10% discount for acquaintances
-20-50% discount for friends
-50-75 discount for immediate family
Once your friend or family member accepts your offer and pays the first instalment, the booking is confirmed and both parties can access the hire documents.

What about the insurance costs?
If you’ve opted for Goboony Day Insurance, make sure you don’t reduce the hire fee to an amount that’s lower than your insurance premium, since this is the amount that will be deducted from your earnings for insurance. For example, if your daily premium is £15, the daily hire fee cannot be lower than £15.

What about the service fee and booking fee?
Please note that when hiring out to friends or family, both the Goboony service fee of up to 19.5%, depending on the time of year, and the booking fee of £35 or £50, depending on the length of the booking, is still to be paid by the hiring party.
