Tilly The Tardis – 2 berth Autotrail 2014, spacious and comfortable

Meet Tilly the Tardis - So called because she is so much bigger on the inside than out! At just over 6 metres with a 6 gear modern engine she is easy to drive. Step inside to a welcoming Kitchen with a spacious bathroom & ensuite shower. Move forward in to the lounge area and the two large single beds serve as sofas during the day and beds at night. Each sofa /bed is over 6ft long so no need to do anything to make up the single beds. Extend them to the centre and it makes one huge king size bed. In the drivers cab, both seats swivel to make further space if needed. This is a dog friendly van so washable covers have been added to the soft furnishings and there is a dog crate available for when they might get a bit wet and muddy. (it’s optional and there is no charge, not all pooches love a crate as much as mine does!).
I have already taken Tilly on several trips and she is easy to drive and park. She has a ford transit standard wheelbase and reversing camera so manoeuvres and driving are easy. She has just had 4 new all season tyres fitted and holds the road beautifully. There is a TomTom Camper Sat Nav.
There is a small oven with three gas hobs, microwave and full size fridge with freezer compartment so when it comes to self catering, no problem. Fancy cooking and dining alfresco? There is a gas bbq included and chairs/table to go with the wind out awning.
Tilly is my 4th van and one of the things I wanted was more room in the shower and bathroom. The shower is separate to the toilet with a solid screen. It doubles as a great storage for wet walking gear. Tilly has gas/electric heating, which can be circulated around the van making her cosy and warm. The solar panels will keep the batteries topped up if you prefer a little more off grid.
So far we have been on several Scottish trips and we have more planned this summer. I hope you enjoy travels too and I look forward to hearing about them.
Tilly has a tow bar which can be used to tow a small trailer or boat should you need it. There is loads of storage space so that is not an issue, however the tow bar can also be used to attach a bike rack suitable for electric mountain bikes. (Bike rack available if needed).
Please note that I may have more flexibility than indicated on pick up / return days and times or I may need to ask you to fit in collection/drop off with my work- it all depends on my work pattern which I will know well in advance. On Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday it is likely to be after 5 pm.
You will be able to leave your own car safely on my drive for the duration of your hire.
