We really enjoyed our holiday in the Tonke EQV. It was our first experience with electric driving, but we thought it was a good introduction! The landlord Jaques is very enthusiastic and the contact is very relaxed! If there is anything you can always send a message and you will receive a quick response. Jaques always tries to help you and on departure there are tasty drinks in the fridge. Very thoughtful!
We finally drove all the way to northern Spain in 2 days (1200 km). With good weather (+20 degrees), the range of the camper is at least 330 km, and you can charge it at the fast charger in France within 20 minutes (just enough time for a croissant and a coffee). The fast charger is a bit more expensive, but it saves a lot of time. There are charging stations along the highway everywhere in France, which are easy to consult with the Chargemap app. The Tesla app is also recommended, they have good, fast and reliable chargers. In Spain, the charging points are somewhat scarcer, but here we only drove short distances (maximum one-three hours) and always charged at the campsite. You can also charge at the supermarket in Bilbao. You can also charge the camper well at the campsite, but don't expect the battery to be completely full again within 1 night. However, you will have enough battery again within 2-3 days.

Driving is very relaxed with the camper. Accelerating is fast, you have no sound from the humming engine, the bus has many handy tricks that help you while driving. Hartelijk dank voor jullie hele positieve recensie. Hopelijk nemen jullie hiermee eventuele laadangst weg bij potentiele elektrische rijders die ook naar Zuid Europa willen rijden. Met een goede voorbereiding en de juiste mindset is dat blijkbaar prima te doen. En jullie bewijzen ook dat een camper een heel leuk idee is voor jonge avonturiers. Supertof!

Especially in the Eco mode (you have to always turn it on, because the control automatically jumps to Comfort after switching off). In Eco mode you can drive about 300 km. The extendable kitchen at the rear is very practical and provides a wide sleeping area downstairs. However, the kitchen is only suitable in dry weather, because if it rains, you will also get wet under the tailgate. Charging at a campsite is possible with the slow-charger converter (which can be rented). Note: set the converter properly to the max. current per connection (often 6 or 10 amps, at luxury places you usually pay the kWh price). The space inside the bus for two people was ultimately very good. We had some reservations about that beforehand. The bags in the rear windows offer space for light items and clothes; ideal. Those bags do take away some visibility when reversing.
If you go camping with the four of you and also sleep at the top on the (fine) lifting roof mattress, you have to take into account a fairly high step. Not handy if you have to go to the toilet at night. But hey, when you're young you just do that. The less flexible tenant will wake up more rested on the sofa and mattress downstairs. That is the same with every bus camper. The blinding sheets (with suction cups on the windows) are great: it gets really nice and dark in the bus. Gas stove (2 burners in the back) works well, standard fridge (not that big) was already filled by Jacques with some welcome drinks. Dankjewel Hans voor je postieve reactie. Fijn dat jullie zo hebben genoten; zonder laadstress en met voldoende ruimte. Inmiddels heb ik meerdere Mercedes EQV's in de verhuur en hebben we meer verhuurervaring met deze noviteit in de markt kunnen opdoen. De mogelijkheden zijn zo enorm uitgebreid dat we nog steeds bijleren en verbeteren. Het meeleveren van een juiste luifelconstructie wordt door mij en Tonke opgepakt; zodat je ook bij slecht weer "droog" kunt koken. Overigens kan dat nu ook al, aangezien de kooktoestellen mobiel zijn; en dus op elke gewenste plek neergezet kunnen worden.
