When creating your list of the best places to visit in Croatia, the city of Dubrovnik is likely to be at the top of it. After a day spent exploring the bustling town and gorgeous weather in Dubrovnik, travel ten minutes to Kamp Solitudo. Out of all the campsites along the Croatian coast, this is one of the best options for exploring the beloved historic city of Dubrovnik.

Not only is it close to the city, but Kamp Solitudo is also a mere five-minute stroll to the beach. So you can immediately wash away the grime of your day, or be the first there the next morning. Camping Stobreč Split

Put Svetog Lovre 6, 21311, Stobreč, Croatia, 43.504135, 16.526505

Split is the second-largest city in Croatia and has plenty of campsites to choose from, but our favourite is Camping Stobreč Split. This family-friendly camping site is only fifteen minutes from the bustling centre of Split and yet is peaceful enough that it feels much further away. From your pitch, you can literally listen to the gentle waves of the Adriatic Sea as you fall asleep — heavenly!

We’ve chosen Camping Stobreč Split due to the large number of amenities on-site, including a supermarket, bar and restaurant. If it weren’t for the gorgeous beaches nearby, you’d have absolutely no reason to leave the campground at all!

Amadria Park Camping Trogir

Dionis Camping Zaton

Pastirski put 14, 23232, Zaton, Croatia, 44.215461, 15.179626

It’s hard to stand out on this list of the best Croatia coast camping sites, but Dionis Camping Zaton has the secret ingredient to do exactly that: its own vineyard. You might not immediately think of wine when you think of Croatia, but trust us, this is worth trying. You can sample this wine at the campsite’s own restaurant.

Dionis Camping Zaton is a fifteen-minute drive to Nin and a twenty-minute drive to Zadar, making it the perfect stop between the two cities. It features an outdoor pool that will be the perfect backdrop for your holiday photos.

If you feel like leaving the campsite for a meal or stroll, you can walk directly to the nearby village of Zaton and visit local businesses.

On our list of the best motorhome campsites in Croatia, we’ve got one situated in a vineyard, and now one located in an olive grove! Camping Oliva is nestled among olive trees, which not only provides delicious homemade produce to purchase but also shade for your motorhome pitch.

Set on a sheltered inlet of the Adriatic Sea, you can see all the way to the Kvarner Islands from this campsite. After a day spent at this private beach, you could play a round of mini golf, try your hand at volleyball, or simply relax at one of their multiple swimming pools. The campsite offers options for boat hire, paddleboarding and dinghy sailing.

Falkensteiner Premium Camping Zadar

Ul. Majstora Radovana 7, 23000, Zadar, Croatia, 44.135060, 15.215467

Too often, Zadar is left off of people’s itineraries for Croatia. But this is one of the best places to learn more about the history of Croatia, and it’s a wonderful blend of urban and seaside. After exploring Zadar, you can head to Falkensteiner Premium Camping Zadar, which is only five minutes away.

This campsite is within walking distance from the beach, so you can fully set up your motorhome and then be done with driving for the day. There’s something for the whole family at this campsite, including swimming pools, a sea-view restaurant, a sauna and even waterslides! So make sure to plan enough time here to enjoy it all and still explore nearby Zadar.

Camping Opatija

Poljanska cesta 16, 51414, Ičići, Croatia, 45.310548, 14.284592

Last, but certainly not least, it’s time to turn our attention to Camping Opatija. It definitely earns its spot on our list of the best campsites on the Croatian coast, as it’s set in a stunning location. Don’t let the woodland fool you, as Camping Opatija is only sixty-five steps away from the beach. You’ll find a sense of peace like no other here, and it’s perfect for those looking to truly relax on holiday.
