Looking for some inspiration for the next motorhome holiday? How about Prague! The journey to the city itself is a delight, and once you’ve arrived there are plenty of campsites to keep your motorhome. Ideal to explore the city and travel in ease.
Route to Prague
It all starts with the route. Where to start? If you depart from the south of the Netherlands or Belgium, you can find your way through south Germany (A3). Then take the route along Frankfurt, Wurzburg, Nurnberg, and the border crossing at Waidhaus/Rozvadov. If you leave from the north of the Netherlands, you can go via the A14 in northern Germany. Then you can go past Osnabrück, Hanover, Leipzig and Dresden to the border crossing at Usti nad Labem.
Of course, you can always take a longer trip and stop overnight in places. Take the time to enjoy the trip!
Caravan Parks in Prague
Once you’ve arrived in Prague, it’s time to find a good spot to park your motorhome. Not all are motorhome friendly, and you want to know which amenities are available. Here’s the two we suggest:
Camping Sokol Praha
From here, you can reach the city center by public transport, or a car can drop you from the campsite. Walking from here is quite a way from the city center, but there are special bike routes.
Facilities at Sokol Praha:

- Dogs are allowed (welcome)
- Outdoor swimming pool (130 square meters)
- WiFi (fees apply)
- Sports ground
- Snack bar and restaurant

Triocamp
The campsite is half an hour away (by public transport) from the center of Prague. There are several excursion programs available at reception.
Triocamp facilities:
- Suitable for campers larger than 8 meters and more than 4 tons of roads
- Dogs are allowed (welcome)
- Outdoor swimming pool (26.5 square meters)
- Sports ground and playground
- Snack bar and restaurant
This campsite is open all year long!
